Alright with 2018 coming to a close, I thought it would be nice to look ahead into 2019 early.
I want to do this for a few reasons.
First of all, I’ll be away in Banff over New Years, so I won’t have time to write some of this stuff down before NYE.
Second, I want to remain *slightly* ahead of the curve when it comes out to planning my 2019.
So I really only have 4 big goals for 2019:
- Travel to more places (5 – 6 new places that I’ve never been to)
- Earn more passive income
- Get in better shape
- Meet more travelers
Travel To More Places
One of my most important goals in 2019 is to travel to more places.
This is really a continuation of my 2018 resolution. I promised myself that I would travel more in 2018 and I think I did a great job.
I traveled to New Orleans, Banff, Paris, Copenhagen/Malmo, and Guadalajara. Not bad for one year’s of travel!
But for 2019, I want to travel even more!
I’m already going to Banff for NYE and early into 2019.
And I have already booked a trip to Cuba for February 2019. But I have other plans tentatively in the works.
Here’s where I want to visit in 2019:
- Buenos Aires
- Russia (Moscow and St. Petersburg)
- Victoria, British Columbia
- Asheville, NC
- Guadalajara (again)
- Somewhere new in Canada.
Overall, I want to go to at least 5 – 6 new places that I have never been before. That’s a tall order, but I’m confident I’ll be able to achieve that goal 🙂
Make More Passive Income
Travelling can become expensive if you don’t want to slump around in a hostel.
That’s why I plan on making even more money with my passive income streams.
I plan on doing this through two ways. First, I’m going to double down on my current income streams to increase the monthly cash flow.
Second, I’m going to invest harder into this blog and create several new niche sites to generate passive income.
It won’t be easy, but I’m sure I’ll be able to make progress. One thing I’ve learned when it comes to online income is the more consistent you are, the more you’ll make.
Get In Better Shape
This is a continuation of one of my 2018 goals.
I want to get in better shape and gain more muscles and get my six pack.
Over the past two years, I went from 140 pounds to 165 pounds from consistently hitting the gym.
But my end goal is to reach around 185 or 190 and be lean at that weight. I don’t know if I’ll be able to reach that goal in 2019, but that’s the endgame I have in mind.
And to achieve that goal, I have to eat A LOT better. This means I’m cutting sugar out of my diet. And it’s not going to be pretty at all 🙁
Meet More Travelers
While I do love solo travelling, I do want to meet more people.
I know…it sounds kind of weird for an introvert to say that, right?
Well, even introverts can get lonely sometimes on trips. I mean I still prefer traveling alone, but it’s nice to go out with other people once in a while as well.
And I think fellow travelers are the most interesting bunch of people – primarily because we come from diverse backgrounds and races.
I love talking travel with other people. So my goal in 2019 is to just meet more travelers.
Final Thoughts On 2019 Goals
Overall, my 2019 goals are simple, but still challenging. And a few of those goals might take longer than 2019 to achieve.
But I’m determined to achieve them. As I grow older and older, the more I realize that consistency (even when you aren’t getting results) is one of the most important factors of success.
So here’s to the end of 2018 and hopefully some great things in 2019 🙂
